How To Make $173 Disappear Over Four Hours

Sunday, February 24, 2008

I thought it would be an interesting exercise to record all of my played hands for a session and document and graph out the results. Naturally, I happened to do this for one of the worst runs I've had out here to date. This was on a $4/$8 table with half kill at Red Rock on 2/24/08. You'll note over the course of four hours I only played 20 hands out of the blinds. I know it's all pre-flop info, but if you have any feedback, I'd be happy to hear it.

no true vegas degenerate would ever include "Tipping the Cocktail Waitress" on such a spreadsheet

Only a guy who makes his living on poker playing the $4/$8 limit game would keep track of the waitress tip.

Trav we need to see you move up to at least $8/$16 or the $1/$2 NL game at the Venetian. So juicy. I'd walk into the Venetian on a busy night. Locate a table with some weak players and then take a seat. Your tight aggressive style would prove profitable. Throw in a couple of bluffs and show them to get paid on the nuts later. Rich weak players are the best. HaaHAaaa!

I was about to comment that you must have made a great play around 6:16 until I read the spreadsheet. "Don't be shy... REBUY!"
